The highlights of this tour include Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Highway 70 along the Feather River canyon, the Mecca of Northern California motorcycle roads (Highway 36), the Avenue of the Giants, the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), Sonoma County Vineyards, a wine tasting tour in a converted 1930’s fire truck, and the Golden Gate Bridge

This tour includes all ground transportation, a chase vehicle with trailer for your luggage, full motorcycle rental support, hotels for 7 nights, all dinners, breakfasts each day, park entrance fees, a wine tasting tour, and bridge toll for the Golden Gate. You’ll need to provide lunches, fuel, incidentals, and the cost for any alcoholic beverages.

Your tour starts on Saturday with a hotel shuttle picking you up at San Francisco Airport and taking you to a luxury airport hotel where a welcome dinner and trip overview awaits you.

On Sunday morning a chase vehicle and trailer pick up your luggage at the hotel entrance and a shuttle van takes you to the motorcycle rental shop, where your pre-reserved Harley Davidson, Goldwing, or BMW motorcycle awaits. From there, we head across the California central valley, winding through the Sierra foothills, to a Yosemite gate hotel.

On Monday morning we head out for a ride through Yosemite Valley, with our first stop at Glacier Point, where we look 2,000 feet straight down into Yosemite Valley and across at Half Dome. Then we cruise the valley floor with picture stops, a lunch stop, and a short walk to Yosemite Falls. Next we head through twisty mountain roads and gold country mountain highways, for a nights stay in the historic Sonora/Columbia area.

Tuesday we head through more gold mining country to alpine passes, ride some remote mountain back roads, then onto Highway 88, arriving in time for dinner at a top casino in South Lake Tahoe. You may even have time for a round of twilight golf. After an excellent buffet dinner, you can enjoy the evening gambling or take in a show.

Wednesday we start out along the shore of Lake Tahoe to Emerald Bay. Then through Truckee and up Highway 89 through high elevation cattle country to Quincy for lunch. Next we turn southwest down Highway 70, known for the picturesque bridges, train trestles and tunnels left over from the 1849 gold rush, and Feather River canyon views. We finish the day in a nice hotel in Red Bluff.

As if your senses haven’t already been overwhelmed, Thursday is WOW day. We start with a ride on Highway 36. Smooth flowing curves on ideal pavement with breath taking views for 100 miles. We stop for lunch and gas in Fortuna, and then we ride along the Avenue of the Giants to the Drive Through Tree. Then we turn west and ride over the coastal mountains to the PCH and down the coast to Ft, Bragg. Expect a sore neck and drained camera batteries from trying to take it all in. Soak in the Jacuzzi before dinner and recount the curves.

Friday will see us riding down the PCH to an inland pass. This will lead us to more extreme twisty roads through the coastal mountains with saddle ridge-top views of high elevation vineyards, rolling forested hills, and river carved valleys, with a stop at the Lake Sonoma overlook, and then dropping into one of the most beautiful vineyard appellations in the world, Dry Creek Valley. We’ll drop off our motorcycles at the hotel in Cloverdale, where Big Red, a converted 1930’s Fire truck will pick us up for a picnic lunch and an afternoon of wine tasting. We’ll be dropped off at the tour guide’s house for a thank you barbecue, within walking distance to the hotel (so party on).

On Saturday, we will wind our way through more vineyard covered valleys on back roads to the Russian River. Then back to the coast for lunch in Bodega Bay, before heading down the PCH to Stinson Beach. Then we’ll cross the Golden Gate Bridge, ride along the San Francisco water front and back to the motorcycle rental shop to turn in the bikes. A shuttle waits to take you back to the SFO hotel, where you can add an extra nights stay or head to the airport.
