This tour includes all ground transportation and luggage hauling, full motorcycle rental support, hotels for 7 nights, all dinners, breakfasts each day, park entrance fees, a wine tasting tour, and bridge toll for the Golden Gate. You’ll need to provide lunches, fuel, incidentals, and the cost for any alcoholic beverages. Your tour starts on Saturday with a hotel shuttle picking you up at San Francisco Airport and taking you to a luxury airport hotel where a welcome dinner and trip overview awaits you. On Sunday morning a chase vehicle and trailer pick up your luggage at the hotel entrance and a shuttle van takes you to the motorcycle rental shop, where your pre-reserved Harley Davidson, Goldwing, or BMW motorcycle awaits. From there, we head across the Golden Gate Bridge, over the coastal mountains to Stinson Beach, and up the PCH to Bodega Bay for lunch. Then further up the PCH to Ft. Bragg for then a Jacuzzi soak and dinner. Monday morning we ride up the PCH to the inland road across the coastal mountains, through the Avenue of the Giants, with a lunch stop at Fortuna. Then we gas up and hit Highway 36, riding the mountain curves all afternoon. Jacuzzi, dinner, and hotel will be in Chico. Tuesday we head up Highway 70, known for the picturesque bridges, train
trestles and tunnels left over from the 1849 gold rush, and Feather River
canyon views. Our first stop Wednesday morning is Burney Falls, where you can feel the spray and fill up your camera. Then we ride along the McCloud River Loop, known for 3 waterfalls within only a few miles. Next is lunch in McCloud, then around the base of Mt, Shasta to Yreka where we hit Highway 3. The rest of the afternoon is one mountain curve after another, until we arrive in Eureka (I found it), where we spend the night. Thursday, we ride to Ferndale, over the mountain and along The Lost Coast. We return to ride past the Avenue of the Giants to the Drive Through Tree. Then we turn west and return over the coastal mountains to the PCH and down the coast to Ft, Bragg. Expect a sore neck and drained camera batteries from trying to take it all in. Soak in the Jacuzzi before dinner and recount the curves. Friday will see us riding down the PCH to an inland pass. This will lead us to more extreme twisty roads through the coastal mountains with saddle ridge top views in all directions of high elevation vineyards, rolling forested hills, and river carved valleys, with a stop at the Lake Sonoma overlook, and then dropping into one of the most beautiful appellations in the world, Dry Creek Valley. We’ll drop off our motorcycles at the hotel in Cloverdale, where Big Red, a converted 1930’s Fire truck will pick us up for a picnic lunch and an afternoon of wine tasting. We’ll be dropped off at the tour guide’s house for a thank you barbecue, within walking distance to the hotel (so party on). On Saturday, we will wind our way through more vineyard covered valleys on back roads to the Russian River. Then back to the coast for lunch in Bodega Bay, before heading down the PCH to Stinson Beach. Then we’ll cross the Golden Gate Bridge, ride along the San Francisco water front and back to the motorcycle rental shop to turn in the bikes. A shuttle waits to take you back to the SFO hotel, where you can add a night’s stay or head to the airport.
